Teaching Taste to an Agent

Hong Kong Web Dev

Augustin Chan spoke at Hong Kong Web Dev's August 2026 meetup on encoding personal aesthetic judgement into a reusable Claude skill — walking from a chance visit to Watkins Books in London, through the I Ching and the Jiaoshi Yilin, to a four-round iterative loop that generated ink-painting imagery for all 4,096 verses. Hosted by Rhys Turner of Hong Kong Web Dev, with Garage Society as venue partner.
